August 30, 2009 Update: Here's a great idea. Come spend the weekend with us in Winchester and enjoy the Shenandoah Valley Hot Air Balloon, Wine & Music Festival at historic Long Branch on Saturday and the Winchester Apple Harvest Cyclocross race on Sunday. Score some points with your significant other while getting the opportunity to enjoy your favorite sport, cyclocross.
August 26, 2009 Update: Pint glasses have arrived. Available for purchase through the registration site or in the next few days at Blue Ridge Bicycles in Winchester. Must be picked up at the race if purchased on BikeReg. The cost is a very low $5.00!
August 21, 2009 Update: USA Cycling has approved our permit application and our race is now listed as "Permitted"!
August 11, 2009 Update: Registration opens tonight at 12:01AM (8/12/09) and will close on 10/16/09 at 11:00PM.
July 28, 2009 Update: Race Flyer Approval! Today the Winchester Apple Harvest Cross race flyer was approved by permitting at MABRA. We hope to add some pictures of the park in the next week or so.
July 7, 2009 Update: Another sponsor to announce! Blue Ridge Bicycles has graciously agreed to be a race sponsor. As a primary sponsor of the Winchester Wheelmen Racing Team, this additional sponsorship is a testiment of Blue Ridge's commitment to cycling in the Shenandoah Valley. June 1, 2009 Update: We recently announced a huge giveaway planned for the race. Every person registering for the race and receiving a bib number will be entered into a drawing for two (2) round trip tickets on Jetblue Airways. These tickets will be good for travel to any destination serviced by Jetblue. Fees and international taxes will be the responsibility of the winner and other restrictions apply. Junior races will not be eligible for entry due to most being under the age of 18 as well as members of the Winchester Wheelmen or employees of Jetblue Airways. Please visit www.jetblueairways.com for a map of cities served. The winner will not need to be present to win, however you must receive a bib number to enter.
